Ever had one of those days where you feel like crying and really can’t tap into why? Every now and then those of us who are usually strong for everyone else have moments where our feelings and emotions get the best of us. I’m learning to practice gratitude during these difficult moments. The more I focus on how good God is the less time I spend pondering things that are beyond my control. “Greater is HE that is in me, than he that is in the world.” Have a fantastic Friday. Be safe, be blessed, and know that you are loved .❤️
As I write this, my eyes are filled with tears. This week I have been reminded that even though I grow weary with waiting, God always shows up! Several months ago I began reading the Prayer of Jabez. As I focused on intentionally asking God to enlarge certain areas of my life it became very clear that in order for this to happen I needed to grow. I had to focus more on what I was doing and less on what other people were doing. It’s NOT my job to please other people or allow their dysfunction to disrupt my life. Loving people from a distance is becoming a practice for me. I can love you and keep my peace. God knows what I want and HE is well aware of what I need. His timing is the catch! Things won’t always happen when I want them to but if I remain FAITHFUL or the little things, HE will show up! I am now able to see the good in every experience, failure, and letdown. I needed to be reminded of who God is and how HE can place me in situations that I could have never imagined. Don’t grow weary in well doing, wait on God. HE’s ALWAYS on time! Happy Saturday. Be safe, be blessed, and know that I love you! ❤️
Sometimes I get so anxious about what’s to come in my life and then I remember that I am NOT in control. Being the type of person that has been forced to take the lead on most things and be responsible for others, it just seems like making it happen is what I do. But when you are forced to wait on God to move it can be SO uncomfortable. Patience is an area of growth that I see needs work. I feel like I’m patient and then I get anxious, start to worry, and at times doubt it’s going to ever happen. I know that having faith and giving it to God is a part of, or should be a part of our Christian journey but to say I don’t struggle at times would be a lie. As a mature in HIM, I’m learning that I only want what HE has already said is mine. If HE didn’t do it, I don’t want it! Not my time, but his time. Not my will, but his! If I have to wait, I’ll wait on him. Be safe, be blessed, and know that you are loved ❤️.
Sometimes life brings you to a place where all you can do is sit and ponder. Ponder on the things that are happening or have happened in your life. Ponder what lies before you and if things are as they seem. PONDER this…….God is an amazing father and all that you need is him. Ponder on his goodness and how he has promised to never leave you nor forsake you! Stop pondering situations and circumstances that are beyond your control. Give it to God and ponder on him. He is the only one with the power to make things change. Tonight I am grateful that in the midst of turmoil all over this country I can rest in HIM. I love you all, goodnight.❤️
Good morning! It’s testy Tuesday and trust me you WILL be tested! Don’t fall prey to the devil and his messengers. God has so much more in store for your life, trust HIM! Stand firm on who and what HE has created you to be. Have a great day and be encouraged. HE never takes us to a place HE’s not willing to keep us. Be safe, be blessed, and know that I love you. ❤️
Sitting in worship this morning I was reminded that “when God chooses you, you don’t get to choose your assignment”. Dr. Kneeland Brown also said that God will always provide a plan for you to do the work! This sermon couldn’t have come at a better time. I needed to be reminded that even though I get frustrated with the process, I can’t abandon God’s assignment. There will always be valley situations and frustrating times. It’s in those moments that I have to remain focused on What God has called ME to do. No longer can I allow my flesh and outside factors to interrupt HIS assignment. As hard as it is some days to leave my flesh behind, I will press forward. God is always willing to keep those that want to be kept. I desire to be kept! Thank you Dr. Brown for that reminder. It was right on time! Be safe, be blessed, and know that you are loved! Happy Sunday!
It is with a grateful heart that I say Happy New Year to all of you! If you’ve been blessed to read this blog, know that God has blessed you with another opportunity to get it right. We are so fortunate to have life and to be able to share life with those we love. So what are you going to do with this opportunity? My prayer is that you take advantage of this opportunity and allow God to guide you through the next days of your life. Life is never promised and we have to ensure that we are making the BEST of it. Start today living your life in a manner that will make HIM proud. Focus on those things that will align your life with Christ and watch how blessed you will be. A life with Christ is the best thing you can ever have! Be safe, be blessed and know that you are loved! ❤️
Yesterday while volunteering I encountered a young lady that needed to be encouraged. This young lady for some reason decided to tell me her story which gave some insight on why there was a look of sadness and despair in her eyes. She began to cry as I spoke with her and told her that her mistakes aren’t what matters, her heart is what matters to God. She cried for minutes which seemed like an hour in the middle of the facility. As I comforted her I told her that I would be in continuous prayer for her and her family. As we get in the full holiday swing, let’s remember the people that are carrying heavy burdens and feelings of loneliness. You never know what the next person may be going through. I ask you this question, where is your heart? Can God trust your heart to care for his people? Choose love, choose kindness, choose humility…….Be safe, be blessed, and know that I love you. ❤️
Sometimes we come to a place in our lives where we have to leave our comfort zone and do something different. We have to face our fears, our future, and the purpose that God has given us. Often when we make this decision the enemy will begin to attack like never before. Don’t allow the distraction to deter you from what has already been given to you. The devils job is to keep you off kilter. Stay focused! God will never bring you to a place He’s not able and willing to keep you. Be encouraged and know that your BEST days are ahead of you. Have a wonderful Thursday! Be safe, be blessed, and know that you are loved! ❤️
