Happy Friday

It has been a LONG week! I am so thankful that God has chose me to do this thing called life. Life is so full of unexpected surprises, both good and some not so good. The thing I find most comfort in is that I know God is always with me. This time last week my son and I were ill and in slow motion. Fast forward to now, both up and at it. I think sometimes God will slow us down and our bodies are his means of doing so. While I was home for those 5 days I had a lot of time to blog, write in my journal, and just debrief. I was able to check out for a little bit. When your everyday consists of helping others manage and deal with life, working 10 hour days, making sure everyone in your life is good, there’s very little time to self care. I talk about self care all the time but it’s very rare that I practice it. I’m a giver, I invest in others, and it’s my calling to counsel, coach, and inspire. But when my cup is empty I have NOTHING to pour into others. So what I’m saying is, take care of you. If you don’t, God will give you a forced time out. We have to replenish our heart, our mind, and our spirit regularly. It’s necessary! You’d be amazed at how much better you feel when you regain your focus! Have a fantastic Friday! Be safe, be blessed, and know that you are loved. ❤️ Copyright © 2020 NuSeasn. All rights reserved.

Let Love Lead

Just finished watching a message from #TheLoveLetter series by Bishop T.D. Jakes. What a revelatory moment! Sometimes you have to suffer and labor a while before you are able to pass the test. But in the meanwhile, allow love to lead. Watching, fighting, praying, and most of all working to lead in LOVE. Sometimes that will mean long suffering. Just know that it won’t be in vain and that just like you see the truth in others actions, so does God. Love anyway……Be safe, be blessed, and know that you are loved.

It’s Monday, a new day, a fresh start! Rest your mind in knowing yesterday is gone, tomorrow is not promised, and all you have is today, this hour, and this moment. Don’t waste time worrying about things and people that don’t matter. God has placed you in a position to rise above any and everything that comes your way. Stop thinking that people owe you something. They don’t owe you, you owe it to yourself! Be good to you! Have a marvelous Monday and know that you are loved! Be safe, be blessed.

Keep Going

Sitting in worship this morning I was reminded that “when God chooses you, you don’t get to choose your assignment”. Dr. Kneeland Brown also said that God will always provide a plan for you to do the work! This sermon couldn’t have come at a better time. I needed to be reminded that even though I get frustrated with the process, I can’t abandon God’s assignment. There will always be valley situations and frustrating times. It’s in those moments that I have to remain focused on What God has called ME to do. No longer can I allow my flesh and outside factors to interrupt HIS assignment. As hard as it is some days to leave my flesh behind, I will press forward. God is always willing to keep those that want to be kept. I desire to be kept! Thank you Dr. Brown for that reminder. It was right on time! Be safe, be blessed, and know that you are loved! Happy Sunday!

A Thought for Thursday…

If I tell you today has been a day, I want you to believe just THAT! I am so glad that I have learned to process things in my life differently. As I’ve grown to discern certain things and allow God to guide certain areas of my life I’m noticing the enemy’s attacks just began to come like a flood. If he can’t get you one way he’ll attack another area. If that attempt doesn’t work he tries something different. It just keeps going. The victory in it all is that my faith and my joy no longer wavers. I acknowledge his attacks, declare the victory over every situation and I move on. If nothing else in life is constant, God is. In him I put my trust. Stop putting all your trust in man. Man will let you down. Remember, we are all imperfect people and sometimes will let each other down. Recognize, recover, forgive, repeat. We are all a work in progress. Just a little thought for this Thursday. Be safe, be blessed, and know that I love you! ❤️

Happy New Year!

It is with a grateful heart that I say Happy New Year to all of you! If you’ve been blessed to read this blog, know that God has blessed you with another opportunity to get it right. We are so fortunate to have life and to be able to share life with those we love. So what are you going to do with this opportunity? My prayer is that you take advantage of this opportunity and allow God to guide you through the next days of your life. Life is never promised and we have to ensure that we are making the BEST of it. Start today living your life in a manner that will make HIM proud. Focus on those things that will align your life with Christ and watch how blessed you will be. A life with Christ is the best thing you can ever have! Be safe, be blessed and know that you are loved! ❤️

When you can be grateful for everything life has thrown at you, you know that there’s been growth. You’ve survived the worse of times and situations. While often feeling unworthy and all alone God always finds a way to show that there is LIFE after all this! As I look back over my life I am just thankful for God’s grace and his mercy. Without him I am nothing, but with him I am everything. While others may not appreciate who and what I am, I am grateful for the process. Be grateful for the things you go through. Learn to appreciate the pain, the hurt, and every disappointment. God has a plan and he has a purpose. Don’t allow your current situation to dictate your future. Stand firm in your faith and remember that with God all things are possible. Be safe, be blessed, and know that you are loved. ❤️

Where is your heart?

Yesterday while volunteering I encountered a young lady that needed to be encouraged. This young lady for some reason decided to tell me her story which gave some insight on why there was a look of sadness and despair in her eyes. She began to cry as I spoke with her and told her that her mistakes aren’t what matters, her heart is what matters to God. She cried for minutes which seemed like an hour in the middle of the facility. As I comforted her I told her that I would be in continuous prayer for her and her family. As we get in the full holiday swing, let’s remember the people that are carrying heavy burdens and feelings of loneliness. You never know what the next person may be going through. I ask you this question, where is your heart? Can God trust your heart to care for his people? Choose love, choose kindness, choose humility…….Be safe, be blessed, and know that I love you. ❤️

Level Up

Sometimes we come to a place in our lives where we have to leave our comfort zone and do something different. We have to face our fears, our future, and the purpose that God has given us. Often when we make this decision the enemy will begin to attack like never before. Don’t allow the distraction to deter you from what has already been given to you. The devils job is to keep you off kilter. Stay focused! God will never bring you to a place He’s not able and willing to keep you. Be encouraged and know that your BEST days are ahead of you. Have a wonderful Thursday! Be safe, be blessed, and know that you are loved! ❤️
